– Pseudo-nitzschia: Present
– Alexandrium: None
– Dinophysis: Rare
– Margalefidinium: None

Sunny at the wharf this morning with lots of rafting CSLs in the sample area. Phytoplankton biomass decreased this week and the net tow remains mostly diatoms. The assemblage shifted again to mostly Skeletonema, but Pseudo-nitzschia (both size classes) were still around. P. australis concentration decreased an order of magnitude and no P. multiseries were detected. Alexandrium were not seen in the net tow, but cell concentration increased from last week.

The wharf this morning was pretty windy. The surface waters were wavy. The skies were blue without a cloud in the sky. The water this week was a lighter green than last week with a visibility of 4.0m. Unlike last week, diatoms dominated the water column. Chaetoceros was abundant in the water. Skeletonema, Pseudo-nitzschia, and Akashiwo were common. The HAB species that were observed in the water this morning included Pseudo-nitzschia, Alexandrium, Dinophysis and Akashiwo sanguinea.
