– Alexandrium: Rare
– Dinophysis: Rare
– Margalefidinium: None

Another crisp sunny morning at the wharf and the bait ball is still hanging around the wharf. Net tow was mostly detritus this week, but phytoplankton biomass and diversity increased. Very few diatoms were observed this week and Prorocentrum was the most abundant. One 4-cell chain of seriata-size Pseudo-nitzschia was seen in the net tow, but none were detected in the probed counts. Alexandrium counts decreased this week.

The wharf this morning was beautiful and sunny! The sky was blue without a cloud in sight. There was no breeze. The surface of the water had rolling waves. The water this week was more blue than last week with a visibility of 5.5m. Chlorophyll decreased from last week (based on RAI). Dinoflagellates dominated the water column. Ceratium and Prorocentrum were common. Amylax, Dinophysis, and Akashiwo were present. The HAB species that were observed in the water this morning included Pseudo-nitzschia, Dinophysis and Akashiwo sanguinea.
