Sunny and cool this morning at the wharf with a bait ball and feeding sea lions near the sampling area. Net tow was mostly detritus/debris and diatoms were the dominant group. Phytoplankton biomass was low, but the chain forming diatoms were pretty happy looking. Chaetoceros was the most abundant. Pseudo-nitzschia were seriata-size, but none were detected in the probed counts.

The wharf this morning was breezy and chilly but sunny. No boats were docked at the wharf this morning. There were small rolling waves on the surface of the water. The sky was blue with a few clouds. The water this week was the same color as two weeks ago with a visibility of 3.5m. Diatoms dominated the water column. Chaetoceros, Thalassiosira, and Detonula were common in the water. Pleurosigma, Guinardia, and Ceratium were present. The HAB species that were observed in the water this morning included Pseudo-nitzschia, Dinophysis and Akashiwo sanguinea.
