* Impressions *
Another cool and sunny morning at the wharf. Water temperature dropped another 1C from last week, but phytoplankton biomass was about the same. Net tow remains mostly dinoflagellates, but diatom abundance increased this week. Akashiwo and Prorocentrum were the most abundant. Pseudo-nitzschia were delicatissima size and none were detected in the probed counts. Alexandrium were observed in the net tow, but none were detected in the probed counts.
