– Pseudo-nitzschia: Rare
– Alexandrium: None
– Dinophysis: Present
– Margalefidinium: Rare
* Impressions *
It was a beautiful sunny morning at the wharf. Net tow was mostly dinoflagellates and phytoplankton biomass increased dramatically this week. Net tow was mostly Akashiwo. Pseudo-nitzschia were seriata-size, but none were seen in the probed counts. Alexandrium was not observed in the net tow, but did pop up in the counts this week.

The wharf this morning was breezy. The sky was filled with clouds. There was a lot of activity at the wharf. The surface of the water was rippling. The water this week was bluer than last week with a striking visibility of 8m. Chlorophyll decreased from last week. Others dominated the water column. Oligotroich was abundant in the water. Rhizosolenia, ciliates, and tintinnids were common. Pyrophacus was present. The HAB species that were observed in the water this morning included Pseudo-nitzschia, Alexandrium, Dinophysis and Akashiwo sanguinea.
