Sunny and warm this morning at the wharf. Net tow was mostly dinoflagellates, but phytoplankton biomass decreased slightly this week. The phytoplankton assemblage shifted a bit as well and Akashiwo were the most abundant. Oxyphysis were also a larger part of the community this week, which was unusual. Alexandrium counts decreased an order of magnitude. Pseudo-nitzschia were seriata size, but P. australis and P. multiseries were not detected in the probed counts.

The wharf this morning was warm and sunny. Not a cloud in the sky. There was a slight breeze. The surface of the water was calm. The water this week was greener than last week with a visibility of 4.5m. Chlorophyll decreased from last week. Dinoflagellates dominated the water column. Chaetoceros, Prorocentrum, Pyrophacus, Oxyphysis, Heterocapsa, and Scripsiella were present in the water. The HAB species that were observed in the water this morning included Dinophysis, Alexandrium, and Akashiwo sanguinea.
