* Impressions *
Another cool, overcast/marine layered morning at the wharf. Water temp increased about 2C from last week and with that temp increase, the phytoplankton assemblage shifted back to dinoflagellates with very few diatoms in the net tow today. Phytoplankton biomass was about the same and Akashiwo was the most abundant. No Pseudo-nitzschia in the probed counts, but Alexandrium counts increased (~5x) this week.

* Impressions *
The wharf this morning was cloudy. There was no breeze. There was a lot of activity at the wharf. The surface of the water was calm and had no detritus. The water this week was a slightly lighter green than last week with a visibility of 5.0m. Chlorophyll decreased from last week. Dinoflagellates dominated the water column. Akashiwo was abundant. Prorocentrum was common. Licmophora and heterocapsa were present. The HAB species that were observed in the water this morning included Pseudo-nitzschia, Alexandrium, Dinophysis, Cochlodinium, and Akashiwo sanguinea.
