Overcast and cold at the wharf this morning with rain forecasted later in the day. Phytoplankton biomass decreased this week and the assemblage was more of an even mix of diatoms and dinoflagellates. The unknown flagellate and Chaetoceros were the most abundant again this week. Pseudo-nitzschia were seriata size, P. australis counts remained the same as last week. No P. multiseries or Alexandrium were detected.
