Rain overnight with a lingering sprinkle this morning at the wharf. Net tow remains mostly detritus/debris, but phytoplankton biomass increased this week. The phytoplankton assemblage shifted slightly and Ceratium and Chaetoceros were the most abundant. Pseudo-nitzschia cells were seriata-size and chains were mostly 4-cells long. P. australis were seen in the probed counts, but no P. multiseries or Alexandrium.

The wharf this morning was relatively warm but cloudy and drizzling. The horizon was covered with fog. The surface of the water was calm. There were no boats docked nearby. The water this week was more blue than last week with a visibility of 6.5m. Chlorophyll slightly increased from last week. Dinoflagellates dominated the water column. Pseudo-nitzschia, Lingulodinium, and Ceratium were common in the water. Prorocentrum and Protoperidinium. The HAB species that were observed in the water this morning included Pseudo-nitzschia, Dinophysis, Cochlodinium, and Akashiwo sanguinea.
