– Pseudo-nitzschia: None
– Alexandrium: Rare
– Dinophysis: Rare
– Margalefidinium: None

* Impressions *
Overcast this morning, with a break in the rain (there was rain overnight and more predicted this afternoon).  As expected, the phytoplankton biomass decreased and the detritus/debris increased.  Net tow remains mostly dinoflagellates and Prorocentrum is still the most abundant.  No Pseudo-nitzschia were observed this week and Alexandrium counts decreased an order of magnitude from last week.

This morning it was cloudy on the wharf with very small pockets of blue sky. There was a slight breeze but it was not a chilly morning. There were no boats docked at my site. The surface of the water was wavy. The water this week was the same color as two weeks ago with a visibility of 7.5m. Chlorophyll decreased slightly from two weeks ago. Diatoms dominated the water column. Chaetoceros was abundant in the water. Meanwhile, Pseudo-nitzschia was present. The HAB species that were observed in the water this morning included Pseudo-nitzschia, Dinophysis and Akashiwo sanguinea.
