– Pseudo-nitzschia: Rare
– Alexandrium: None
– Dinophysis: Rare
– Margalefidinium: None
* Impressions *
Another sunny morning at the wharf. The net tow remains mostly dinoflagellates and the phytoplankton assemblage was similar to last week. However, the phytoplankton biomass decreased dramatically. Diatom diversity increased this week, but Akashiwo and Prorocentrum remain the most abundant. Pseudo-nitzschia were delicatissima-size and Alexandrium counts were similar to last week.

The wharf was sunny with clear skies this morning. There were small waves on the surface of the water. The water this week was greener than last week with a visibility of 3.0m. Chlorophyll increased from last week. Dinoflagellates dominated the water column. Akashiwo, Prorocentrum, and Lingulodinium were common in the water. Pseudo-nitzschia was present in the water. The HAB species that were observed in the water this morning included Pseudo-nitzschia, Dinophysis and Akashiwo sanguinea.
