* Impressions *
Sunny and cool at the wharf this am. A welcome change from all the rain that came through over the weekend. The water was brown again and the net tow was mostly detritus/debris with a slight decrease in phytoplankton biomass. Phytoplankton assemblage was mostly diatoms and diatom diversity continues to be high. Chaetoceros was the most abundant genus. Pseudo-nitzschia were seriata size and I only saw P. multiseries in the probed counts this week (no P. australis). Alexandrium counts decreased.
